Great song, though I would hesitate to call this funk. I think it qualifies more as electro dance or something.

Whoooooooaaaaaahhh

This is legitimate. It was definitely well-recorded and mixed. It's pretty amazing for a school project. I can only say I would like to see the vocals with a little reverb maybe.

MadameLeota responds:

I'll be sure to add more reverb. Thanks!

Again, pretty nice

I like the modulation, the bass and percussion style that you use for many of your songs, and the sound quality. The melody is very Frank Klepacki-esque, which is a good feel for industrial songs like this.

adaline responds:

Thanks again for your feedback. You've also introduced me to a composer with music that I am digging. Yo. Yo. Dawg. Cool shit, yo. .. Dawg.

It was not within my tastes

This is a good song if you're a beginner at this. I can tell it's a bit simplistic, with only a basic drum rhythm and a few other instruments. That's okay if you really tweak the tone quality and add dynamic LFO, pitch bend, ect, but a few instruments alone is a bit bland. There is also no modulation, which is a big downside for me.

Mildly relaxing

I really liked the middle part of the song. It's repetitive, but the flowing, resonating instruments keep it sounding peaceful. I can only say work on the intro. The incessant bass drum is a bit much. You might be able to fix it by just turning down the volume of that instrument. The intro could also use more instrumentation. It seems a little sparse, which makes that bass drum too dominant.

nightsurfermusic responds:

I wanted a slower intro. But meh. :D

OOoooohhh, that's nice...

I love the percussive background and bass. It really drives the song with that rock/industrial feel. The melody and key changes were nice too. The instruments weren't the best quality, but what can us NewGroundians do. The only reason I voted 9 was because the song didn't loop very well. It needs a more fluid transition with some lead-in to the beginning of the next loop.

adaline responds:

Hooray for constructive criticism! Still getting used to the software used here, the quality of the samples isn't the most top notch out there, true. Could use some work on the looping I guess. Thanks!

Okay...

It has a rap-esque feel to it. Not my cup of tea personally, but I'm sure this would sound a lot better with more of a melody.

FelTiProductions responds:

yea, thanks for the feed back, i hear what you mean, and will incorporate more effort on the melody on my next songs. i might even remake this one.

Interesting

It definitely seems to portray a confusing digital maze of some sort. You just need to expand upon all the confusing sounds with a melody. It's neat so far.

monk1 responds:

I'd like to think the whole thing is a melody of digital chaos and tense atmosphere.

OOOOoooooohh...

Very soothing with accents of organ in the background. I like.

Hahahaha whoah... O.o

REALLY CREEPY in a numbers station kind of way! I liked the melodies in between the sections of creepy jumbled madness.

BowserThedestructive responds:

Thank you, the madness might get a sequel if I can come up with one that can be just has weird. Yet catchy.
